2. If you need warranty service, please first contact the point-of-purchase location (distributor/dealer) for their customer assistance regarding replacement or repair. If point-of purchase warranty has expired and your camera is still under the manufacturer's warranty, contact the BLACKEYE™ Customer Service.
3. Please contact BLACKEYE™ Customer Service for an RGA (Return Goods Authorization) number. An RGA number is required for each warranty return shipment. Returns without an RGA number will not be accepted. Send an e-mail to customerservice@blackeyeUSA.com.
4. in your shipment, include a copy of the original receipt or invoice showing proof of date of purchase. Also, clearly print and include your return address information for return delivery.
5. Ship your warranty return (postage and shipping prepaid) to the address shown on the BLACKEYE™ website (www.blackeyeUSA.com).

  PRODUCT CARE, INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE

For prolonged life of your high-tech BLACKEYE™ camera you should treat it with care. Inspect it occasionally and follow the maintenance recommendations. If you follow our suggestions you'll enjoy your BLACKEYE™ camera for a long time.

1. Inspection - Any battery may leak caustic solutions or gases which can corrode parts of the BLACKEYE™ battery pack. If your unit is used infrequently (once a month or less) remove the batteries and store them separately. This prevents corrosion and may extend battery life.

2. Product Care – Be good to your camera. Be careful not to scratch the lens of your camera and avoid contact with any sharp or pointy objects in general.

Although the BLACKEYE™ camera is designed to withstand rough treatments in any kind of sports, make sure you always store your camera in a dry and cool place. Don't leave it in wet or humid sports bags or damp cars, etc... In the case you make one of your rare dips in the snow, make sure you wipe off your camera asap. If you get into heavy rain, try to get the camera into a dry place asap. (any recording at this point is useless anyway, as the rain drops on the lens will distort the vision of the camera)

During Storage or when not using the camera always make sure your cables/connectors are unplugged. This avoids draining the batteries and helps drying out wet connectors.

Don't store your camera on your helmet. Take it off the helmet during storage. That preserves the elasticity of your head straps – which you need on your next ride.

Be aware that optical equipment in general is sensitive to temperature. Avoid exposing your BLACKEYE™ camera to abrupt or high differences in temperature, as this might cause the lens to fog up (in case this happens, simply give it time to clear up again. Try to avoid it next time).

3. Maintenance – Keep your unit brisk and clean. Wipe off dirt and mud with a clean and soft towel. Use a moist sponge (not soaking wet) and mild soap for additional cleaning. For cleaning the lens use a soft cloth as you use it for cleaning regular reading glasses. (Don't use paper towels on the lens. As on all sports glasses/goggles, paper towels create micro-scratches, which you don't want to have in your vision)

Do not use any abrasive, aggressive or acidic detergents on your BLACKEYE™ camera.
